Senior Benefits Analyst (Temporary)

 

We’re looking for a temporary Senior Benefits Analyst to join our team!

The Senior Benefits Analyst will provide dedicated support to an expansive employee benefits program for a large global client, while working collaboratively with members of their benefits team to support the implementation and maintenance of the program. The Senior Benefits Analyst will be responsible for day-to-day project management and analysis of complex benefits projects with a focus on providing data-backed recommendations to our client’s benefits team. The ideal candidate would be analytical, able to effectively communicate at all levels, have some knowledge of contracting and benefits, and appreciate a dynamic environment with rapidly changing priorities.

Only candidates with benefits administration expertise will be considered. Experience with multistate or global employers ideal.  

This is a virtual/remote position dedicated to our Fortune-ranked client in Seattle, Washington. This is a temporary position that is anticipated to be 6 months in duration.

 

Essential Duties and Functions: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Develop and execute multiple benefits program implementations and integration strategies simultaneously for new and/or changing employee benefits programs, processes and vendors for a fortune ranked global company.
  • Perform complicated data security assessments for new and existing national account benefits vendors in accordance with company standards and best practices Assists in the management of third party vendor contracts and performance.
  • Responsible for thorough auditing and reconciling multiple invoices and benefits vendor contracts.
  • Be a subject matter expert in employee benefits. Experience with summary plan description review a plus. Able to compare and articulate nuances in SPDs.
  • Drive consistent benefits project management support for concurrent and complex benefit projects by translating business needs into project plans, building business requirements, timelines and maintenance of quality standards.
  • Day-to-day benefits programs project lead, able to demonstrate the progress of the project team against established goals.
  • Identify and resolve issues or concerns on a full range of benefit related topics with vendor partners.

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources management or a related field or equivalent in work experience
  • Minimum 3+ years’ experience in a benefits analyst or benefits admin role in group benefits support with expertise in SPDs
  • Strong analytical and demonstrated benefits project management skills.
  • Knowledge of employee benefits and applicable laws and regulations.
  • Ability to extract and synthesize data and provide insight on findings.
  • Strong work ethic with positive drive and approach, including the ability to work both independently and collaboratively with dynamic teams.
  • Collaborates to keep others informed of information that contributes to the performance of the team, department or company.
  • Demonstrates good listening and has the ability to build and maintain strong relationships, effective partnerships and establish credibility with internal and external stakeholders at all levels of the organization through confident interpersonal, verbal and written communications and presentations.
  • Demonstrates good business judgement and creative thinking to anticipate needs, troubleshoot problems, and derive solutions. Shares knowledge and expertise professionally and acts in the best interest of the client’s business.
  • Strong attention to detail with highly developed organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize, handle multiple projects simultaneously, and manage strict deadline and turnaround time requirements
  • Creativity, enthusiasm, and passion for voluntary benefits and demonstrated ability to use sound judgment skills.
  • Expected ability to manage highly sensitive information and maintain confidentiality of benefit issues and information
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft applications required, including Word, PowerPoint and Excel
