CHICAGO, IL, April 5, 2013 – Pacific Resources, a leading employee benefits advisory firm servicing large, predominantly Fortune-ranked corporations, announced that Scott Silverman has been named vice president and leader of its Executive Benefits practice.
Pacific Resources’ Executive Benefits practice helps companies align their executive benefits programs with their long-term organizational goals, as well as executive expectations, while also fully complying with regulatory requirements.
“Losing a member of upper management can cost an employer up to 3 to 5 times that position’s annual wages and benefits,” said Paul Barden, CEO of Pacific Resources. “One way to incent these higher level employees to stay is by enhancing the value of their benefits package. We work closely with large employers to find creative ways to use insurance to do this.”
Silverman and his team are responsible for designing and implementing Pacific Resources’ customized service strategy for each client’s individual Executive Benefits program. He serves as the primary point of contact with Pacific Resources’ sales team and account executives, clients and insurance carriers for all the company’s Fortune 1000 accounts. He also works closely with the client, the client’s employees and carrier representatives on the successful education, communication and enrollment of executives into the program.
“As a lawyer, Scott understands our clients’ needs from a business, legal and insurance perspective,” said Barden. “By leveraging his legal background and experience, he is able to provide unique insurance and financial planning advisory services that help our clients design innovative, strategic approaches to Executive Benefits products.”
Silverman joined the insurance industry in 2006 specializing in insurance reviews and insurance planning for high net worth individuals. He also focused on executives of private and publicly held businesses and employee benefit enrollment programs. Silverman has been a member of the Million Dollar Round Table since 2007 and also holds the CLTC designation.
Before becoming an insurance professional, Silverman practiced law in Manhattan. His legal career began at Graubard Miller, a mid-sized New York law firm, where he specialized in corporate securities law before moving in-house at Deutsche Bank in 2004.
Silverman graduated from Lehigh University in 1997 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in History and Psychology, and cum laude from New York Law School in 2000 with a concentration in Business.
