Benefits Expert Jody Hunter Joins Pacific Resources From Koch Business Solutions

CHICAGO, IL, April 9, 2013 - Pacific Resources – a leading employee benefits advisory firm servicing large, predominantly Fortune-ranked corporations – announced that Jody Hunter has joined the company as Vice President. He joins Pacific Resources from Koch Business Solutions, LP (KBS), where he was Senior Director of Benefits.

In his new role, Hunter will be developing Pacific Resources’ health promotion and illness prevention consulting services and products using his knowledge of trends, products and services available in the wellness market. He is also an expert in PPACA, and will help keep Pacific Resources’ staff and clients informed of new developments and the potential effects of the implementation of the Health Care Reform Law, including the growth of private exchanges and Accountable Care Organizations, and the status of state exchanges.

“Jody has worked in both private and public settings to develop comprehensive benefit plans as well as health advocacy and employee wellness programs for large employers,” said Paul Rogers, President and COO of Pacific Resources. “Jody’s breadth of knowledge and understanding of the strategic objectives large employers expect to achieve from their overall employee benefits program gives him the insight needed to identify unique well-being solutions that will create value for our clients.”

Prior to joining KBS, Hunter served as Senior Director of Benefits for Georgia Pacific for 10 years. He also served as benefits administrator at AGL Resources, and as a staff member of Atlanta Healthcare Alliance. Hunter also taught strategic management as an adjunct faculty member of the Rollins School of Public Health of Emory University. He began his health planning and data analysis career in 1977 as Data Manager for the Southeast Georgia Health Systems Agency – this led to him becoming Director of the Georgia Center for Health Statistics at the Georgia Department of Public Health in Atlanta.

Hunter is the Chair of the Board of Advisors for the College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences at Georgia Southern University and served as a member of Governor Sonny Purdue’s Commission for a New Georgia, Health and Welfare Benefits.
