Paul Barden (right) is CEO of Pacific Resources and serves on the company’s Board of Directors. He shares P&L responsibility with the president and leads corporate strategy, client services, legal, finance and operations. Paul is the executive sponsor for Pacific Resources’ largest clients and is committed to maintaining the company’s 98 percent client retention rate. Having earned a reputation that gives him an inside track to the top leadership of the carrier community, Paul closely collaborates with company presidents and other executives to ensure they’re able to meet the emerging needs of Pacific Resources’ Fortune-ranked client base.
Prior to his role as CEO, Paul served as Executive Vice President in charge of corporate strategy, client relations, legal and product development. He was a pioneer in the evolution of voluntary benefits, taking them from a traditionally individual model to a group model. Paul started the executive benefits practice at Pacific Resources, which focuses on individual supplements to the group plan for Life, Disability and other voluntary programs. He has been an integral part of Pacific Resources’ tremendous growth and retention strategy over the last 10 years, increasing revenues by more than 500 percent.
Before joining Pacific Resources, Paul held key positions in strategic business development, product development, senior sales and account management for both individual and group markets at Unum, Liberty Mutual and Cigna.
An in-demand and respected thought leader, Paul is frequently asked by carriers to speak and consult on Group Life, Accident, Disability and Voluntary Benefits programs.
Paul Rogers (left) is President & COO of Pacific Resources and serves on the company’s Board of Directors. He shares P&L responsibility with the CEO and oversees corporate strategy, product development, brand strategy and marketing, underwriting and distribution. Paul works closely with the senior leadership of the insurance carrier community to ensure they are building solutions to meet the emerging needs of Pacific Resources’ clients.
Prior to becoming President, Paul served as Executive Vice President and head of new business development. He was responsible for building the integrated absence management practice as well as identifying voluntary benefits outsourcing solutions and other product development initiatives. He provided operational oversight including ongoing program/plan analysis, financial and risk analysis, funding alternatives and integration services.
Before joining Pacific Resources, Paul held various management and sales positions at Unum and Liberty Mutual where he spearheaded the development of integrated disability management programs, outcome-based integrated disability reporting, clinical modeling and technology links and a national accounts service model. A veteran of the financial services industry as well, he worked for State Street Bank & Trust in various accounting and management positions.
Paul serves on the advisory board of Gen Re, the board of Professional Disability Associates, and the board of the New England Chapter of the Disability Management Employer Coalition (DMEC). He is a frequent guest speaker and presenter at Integrated Disability and Life Insurance forums, carrier conferences and other key industry events.
