In early 2017, the issue of health insurance dominated the headlines. Voluntary benefits, as usual, were left on the sidelines even when the employer-sponsored health care, and not the Affordable Care Act, hit the news cycle. But in the past few years, voluntary benefits have evolved significantly and it’s important that HR leaders understand what’s changed, why its changed, and how emerging trends have given rise to a new breed of employer-sponsored voluntary benefits.
